The 2014 Austin Pet Expo!

The CSSC put together a booth for the Austin Pet Expo this year, one of the family of Amazing Pet Expos shows. The event had a total attendence of over 12,000 people reported and we were very happy with the exposure we received! We're already looking at their show schedule for next year. :)

Following are a selection of photos from the show! A BIG thanks go out to Kuma and his owners, Megan and Hudson, Joyce and Alan and their boys Travis and Chester, and our soon-to-be VP Diana Orange with Aslan for being such great representatives for our chapter and breed.

The Memorial Day Show, Part 4!

We're opening with Deb's Lobo from Riverwind Shilohs in Oklahoma, our Champion of Champions winner for the weekend! I didn't get win photos of everyone, sadly, but here are a sampling of just a few of our winners. You can see more on individual winners' Facebook pages. Everyone had a great time, and we love the venue so much, we've decided to do this again next year!

Lobo also won his Best in Show on Saturday, and got a photo with the judges, below.

Riverwind did well with Lobo's puppy daughter Ruby Moon as well, bringing home a second Best in Show on Sunday!

Bred by Riverwind and owned and showed by his proud mom Barbara, Shilo Teddy Bear carried off a well-deserved Best of Opposites on Sunday.

Echo Shilohs from Indiana did very well also, with Mindy's Envy trading places with the other girls for Winner's Bitch and Reserves.

Doja the puppy from Echo's Flair/Griff litter also did great, winning a Best in Show Puppy on Saturday and a Best of Opposites on Sunday!

Also doing great in our puppy contingent was miss Delaney Rose, bred by AZ Shilohs and owned by Carla of Fisher Crane Shilohs! Delaney got herself a Puppy Winner's Bitch Plush, Reserve Winner's Bitch Plush and a Best of Opposite Sex on Saturday!

Sparta Shilohs from Texas did well, with Blazie getting two Best of Breed Smooth rosettes, and her momma Kyrie winning 1st in Altered Class and 3rd with her pups in Family Group!

Also bred by Sparta and owned and showed by Diana of Kingdom Shilohs, Aslan got himself two Winner's Dog rosettes and a Reserve for Plush adult!

Shamira Shilohs won Winner's Dog and two Reserves with their boy JackSon, bred by River Pack and owned and showed by Jan! Jan also helped show many other dogs over the course of the weekend. Thank you so much Jan!

Speaking of River Pack, Tequila out of their latest litter won herself a Puppy Best in Show on Saturday!

River Pack also pulled off a second Best in Show, this one adult, with their beautiful girl Jolene!

Saffire, bred by New Zion Shilohs and owned by Karen of Rich Hill Shilohs, did fantastic as well, winning herself a Best in Show on Saturday! Saffire was showed by Jan. Here she is posing with her PeeWee hander:

The Memorial Day Show, Part 3!!

We're almost to the end of our show coverage for the 2014 CSSC-MAC Memorial Day show at Purina Farms! For this update, you'll be seeing a lot of what was going on in the ring.
