CSSC Specialty Show Part 2

Welcome to part 2 of our coverage of the CSSC Spring Specialty Show! Here we go with the Show Results. :)

PUPPY SHOW

PLUSH

Beorn, Phin, Ranger, and Aslan all won their age categories. Here are some photos of them in the ring, separate and then together. Phin:

Then it was the plush girls' turn! Here's little Mia in the ring, the 2-4 Months winner:

Then the two littermates went up against each other! Molly VS. Ponzu...Here is Molly:

But in the end it was Molly who came out on top and went into the ring with Mia in competition for Winners Bitch Puppy Plush--and she won!

And Ponzu took Reserve! But really didn't want to stand for her photo!

Then Beorn and Molly went into the ring together...and the little guy carried the day!

Blazie went into the ring as the only Smooth and won her class by default.

Finally it was time for the showdown! Blazie and Beorn went into the ring together...may the Best Puppy win!!

But in the end...the little guy took it all!! Beorn wins Best In Show Puppy!!

ADULT SHOW

PLUSH

Now for the Adult show! We had three non-Champion Plush boys: Killian, Voltaire, and Shilo.

It was ROUGH competition! Three gorgeous boys. Here they are all in the row:

But Shilo Teddy Bear from New York came out on top with Winner's Dog!

And Killian got Reserve Winner's Dog!

Then it was time for the girls. Junebug went into the ring against her daughter Sophie from the Junebug Kola litter--and won her first point toward her Championship! Good job, Junebug!

So it was time for the Champions to enter the ring and go up against the newly-crowned Winner's Dog and Winner's Bitch for Best of Breed! In the ring were Shilo, Junebug, Lobo, Leo, and Ender! Talk about a tough choice for Judge Olga! (I didn't get photos of this part...as I was the one running Leo around the ring!)

And when the dust settled, it looked like this:

Leo had come out on top!

Handsome Davey was the only Smooth entered, so he took Winner's Dog Smooth and Best of Breed Smooth Adult...

After running the two boys around the ring numerous times...the Judge made her decision! That day, it was Leo for Best In Show Adult!!

Later that evening we had our Chapter auction, and we raised enough money to completely pay for the show and have a nice nest egg for the next one! A HUGE thanks goes out from us to everyone who participated--we had wonderful items to offer and enthusiastic bidders (even if we all wanted to throw something at Deb's husband Mel eventually!!). :D

The next morning we did Temperament Testing for the dogs who needed to upgrade to Adult registrations. Blair's Killian came out on top with the high score: 98 out of 100!! Fantastic job!

All too soon, it was time to go home. All the Shilohs got packed back into their vehicles...and we said our goodbyes. Until next time, everyone!!

The 2013 CSSC Spring Specialty Show!

The CSSC had its first Spring Specialty show this year in Norman, Oklahoma, at the Canine Sports Academy! We had nine puppies and ten adult Shilohs attend, and a whopping 17 of them went into the ring! Above and below you can see sample pages from the program we did up for the show. :)

The event facility was wonderful, featuring enough space for two rings, a huge play-yard, and a separate room to set up our food and the auction items. There was even a small table specifically to display our awards!

We had a meet 'n' greet and the chapter provided a free lunch for attendees. :) People circulated and the dogs just chilled as it got closer to ring-time! Here are some candid shots of people and dogs. I know I didn't get photos of everyone, but I tried! Click on the images for bigger pictures. :)

There were many Riverwind pups attending! Molly and Ponzu are sisters from the same litter, with their mother Junebug's beautiful dark markings and their dad Lobo's rich brown coloration! Here's Molly:
